Cyclone Bejisa hits La Reunion

On 2nd January 2014 cyclone Bejisa passed close to the French island of Reunion in the Indian Ocean, leaving 15 people injured, power lines down and homes damaged.

The storm brought winds of nearly 195Km per hour and 8m (26ft) waves as its eye came within 15km of the coast.

The island of Reunion recorded 230mm (9.1 inches) of rain in 36 hours as Bejisa passed by.

 

The Reunion office of NaudeT DB&a has tripled its work force in order to be able to cope with the aftermath of the storm.
